What is AVECAL and what does it do?
The Valencian Association of Footwear Entrepreneurs (AVECAL) is the organization representing the footwear sector in the Valencian Community. The association organizes events and conferences with the most prominent companies so that their members can enjoy many advantages in order to increase and improve their production, respect the environment, improve their technological capacity, internationalize and learn about the latest sector’s developments. In addition, AVECAL is responsible for other important tasks such as processing grants and subsidies, organizing training courses that improve specialization and access to the shoemaker labor market. Where are we?
AVECAL offices are located in Elche’s business park, two minutes far from the Alicante-Elche International Airport and well connected by road through the N340 and la Vía Parque Elche Alicante, with easy access to the Alicante-Madrid and Alicante-Barcelona motorways. The business park is also efficiently linked to the Port of Alicante, the Alicante’s train freight terminal, the high speed train (AVE) station in Elche-Matola and it is very close to the Alicante Fair Institution (IFA).

Which kind of projects does AVECAL carry out?
AVECAL monitors the calls for European, national and regional programs that may be interesting, in order to attend them and thus ensure improvements in our partners’ competitiveness in the interest of the whole sector.
What advantages do partners have?
From the time you register as an associate, AVECAL gives you access to all its services. You will have at your disposal our employment section to search for new talents that suit your demands, and you can attend free courses and seminars. In addition, we give you technical and legal support and we manage any incident that may arise in your import or export activity. We also offer to you commercial promotion and internationalization services (including brands and industrial property management) and we work with many different organizations in order to promote the ‘Shoes from Spain’ brand.
If you are an associate and you wish it, we will manage for you your applications for grants and subsidies. You can also take advantages of AVECAL’s single interlocutor role: we represent you in the collective negotiation process, concerning all the agreements that affect the sector. In addition, you can enjoy our collaborators’ wide range of offers and advantages, from legal advice to banking or technology consulting.
Does AVECAL have an employment exchange?

How does it cost to become an associate member of AVECAL?
The monthly fee paid by our associates varies according to their category and the number of workers.
- Shoe Manufacturers pay from 65 to 287 EUR per month.
- Storekeepers, commercial, importers / exporters, etc., pay from 65 to 149 EUR per month.
- The associates of the auxiliary industry pay a fee that varies from 37 to 100 EUR per month.
- Patrons pay 150 EUR per month

I'm looking for manufacturers, what should I do?
You just have to go to the Associate menu (Asociados), on our website. There, you will find a section entitled “Are you looking for a manufacturer?” (¿Buscas fabricante?). You must fill our form with the required data that are essential for us to help you. Once we receive the information, we will contact you and prepare an internal communication that will be sent to all our associates in order to help you find what you search.
How can I sign up for the courses organized by AVECAL?

AVECAL is constantly looking for efficient solutions to improve its associates’ opportunities and to give them the best tools to grow. For this purpose we offer to you various services: business breakfasts with important companies that collaborate with AVECAL and make their resources available to our members; advices on different subjects; conferences and specialized courses regarding the multiple tasks of footwear manufacturing, expansion, sales and marketing processes.
